Tina Karunaratne is the visionary founder of KICS and serves as CEO. With over 20 years in clinical operations and program management, Tina has led global teams in both large pharma and biotech startups​. Her background includes spearheading clinical operations at an oncology biotech, where she oversaw complex trials and successful regulatory submissions.

Tina holds advanced degrees in Regulatory Affairs and Law and Policy, equipping her with a unique perspective on the compliance facets of clinical trials​ and policy development. As a recipient of the HBA Luminary Award and recognized on the 2024 PharmaVoice 100 list as an inspiring leader in life sciences, she champions diversity and empowerment in the life sciences​.

Tina founded KICS to bring compassionate leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration into the CRO space. She is driven by the belief that small companies with big ideas deserve world-class support to reach the clinic. Under her leadership, KICS is setting new standards for what a niche CRO can achieve.
